The ACA increased Medicaid primary care payments in 2013 and 2014 by raising them to match Medicare rates, but this payment increase expired at the end of 2014. The federal government no longer funds 100% of the fee increase. This leaves states to decide if they want to continue. Fifteen (15) states have indicated they will at least in part continue and use state funds. Twenty four states (24) will cease to continue the fee increase. Twelve (12) states remain undetermined.
